Each year, A-1 Toyota presents the Dominic Galardi Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Connecticut Food Bank. Friends & family, customers and charitable souls gather for a day of fun, food and golf to support this wonderful cause. The tournament is named after the beloved Dominic Galardi, co-founder of A-1 Toyota. His kindness, nobility and generosity live on with this incredible day of fun and friends.
More Than Walking’s mission is to promote independent living after spinal cord injury worldwide by sharing the experiences of active peer-mentors and expert rehabilitation professionals. They do this by compiling peer mentor interviews and demonstration videos of independence skills, along with therapist analysis videos of the most complex skills, into an online video course that they then share with newly injured patients. Founded in 1982, Connecticut Food Bank is a member of Feeding America’s nationwide network of food banks. They partner with food retailers, growers, financial donors, and volunteers to source food and distribute it through a network of 500 food access points that include community-based pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and more, as well as Mobile Pantries, Dairy Express, and the Senior Supplemental Food Program. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program provides new clothing and/or toys for children of needy families. Each Angel Tree is decorated with numbered paper angel tags with the first name, age, and gender of a child who is in need of a gift. Contributors remove one or more tags from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts for the child or children described on the tags. Learn More Here
