Our Helping Hand

Every year A-1 Toyota helps their neighbors in the community who may be struggling feeding their families by working with the Connecticut Food Bank to help provide food for those in need. By running a can drive in their showroom and matching cash donations, A-1 Toyota has helped families in New Haven put food on their tables when times are tough for the holidays and beyond.

A-1 Toyota also has helped with a number of causes throughout the years whether sponsoring golf tournaments benefiting organizations like the Children’s Center of Hamden and the Boys and Girls Club or working with The Community Foundation for a Greater New Haven helping make sustainable changes to the region.

A-1 Toyota has prided itself on giving back to the community and we are honored to be recipients of the 2019 John S. Martinez Community Service Award and look forward to the opportunity to continue our service for years to come.

Annual Golf Tournament

Each year, A-1 Toyota presents the Dominic Galardi Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Connecticut Food Bank. Friends & family, customers and charitable souls gather for a day of fun, food and golf to support this wonderful cause. The tournament is named after the beloved Dominic Galardi, co-founder of A-1 Toyota. His kindness, nobility and generosity live on with this incredible day of fun and friends.

They do this by compiling peer mentor interviews and demonstration videos of independence skills, along with therapist analysis videos of the most complex skills, into an online video course that they then share with newly injured patients.
