Been to a few Toyota dealers in my time, A-1 backs up their name completely with transparency and professionalism at every step.

It was a really pleasant experience. They were up front about MSRP pricing and financing, they accepted me declining packages/accessories without needling me. There was no pressure and no haggling. I was prepared for a long, exhausting talk but it was just genuinely nice. Moe was our consultant, he did well even if he's new.

Friendly staff, transparent process, and excellent service. A pleasant experience from start to finish.

Update - Thanks for taking the time to talk Gary and addressing my concerns. I am updating the review. My mother recently purchased a car from this dealership. The salesperson, Yaya, was excellent — friendly, helpful, patient, and genuinely pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, the entire experience completely fell apart once we were handed over to the finance manager, Josh. The moment we walked into his office, Josh acted irritated and inconvenienced, as if we were wasting his time. Looking back, it became obvious why his attitude changed so quickly: he realized my older mother was not alone and that someone was actually reviewing the paperwork carefully instead of blindly signing whatever was put in front of her. When I politely asked him to explain approximately $1,500 in fees and a separate $500 “accessories” charge, he immediately became defensive and aggressive. He raised his voice, repeatedly insisted this was a “no negotiation dealership,” and acted personally offended that anyone would dare question the charges. I calmly explained that I was simply asking what the fees were for. I also pointed out the large state-mandated sign hanging directly next to him him stating that dealer fees are NEGOTIABLE. At that point, Josh literally sat there glaring at me in silence for what felt like an entire minute, creating an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere for both my mother and me. Interestingly, despite claiming nothing could be changed, he removed the completely unnecessary $500 accessories fee almost immediately. That alone tells you everything you need to know. The rest of the interaction was just as disrespectful. Josh barely acknowledged us, ignored basic questions, and even spent nearly 10 minutes on the phone with a bank representative casually discussing Mother’s Day plans while we sat there waiting in silence. It genuinely felt like we were invisible. Josh is the exact reason people hate dealing with car dealerships. He perfectly embodies the dishonest, arrogant, high-pressure finance manager stereotype that gives the entire industry a bad reputation. I left feeling like I needed a shower after the interaction. It’s unfortunate because the sales experience itself was positive, but Josh singlehandedly ruined the entire purchase process. If dealership management actually cares about customer experience and repeat business, they should seriously reconsider having someone like this representing their company.

I have been to many Toyota services in New England region and this was unfortunately the worst service experience, and was very expensive for the work that needed. They didn't provide transport, communication to pick up my car was really problematic. The experience itself, I would go lower, but gave 3 stars because they accomodated me that day despite I had no appointment.

I'm way overdue for this, but A1 Toyota was great. The whole experience, from my first steps through the door to the signatures was positive. My sales consultant, Ugur, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. Their whole team fosters a no-pressure environment. I am very happy with my purchase and their best price no-haggle policy easily beat other Toyota dealerships in the area. They're a fantastic team.

My husband was present solely to be listed as a co owner for estate planning purposes. Despite this, the staff consistently directed their attention and communication toward him. This behavior came across as sexist and outdated, and it detracted significantly from the overall experience. 3. Vehicle Condition Concerns Upon taking delivery, I discovered that the vehicle had a strong smoke odor. It was also evident that the cabin air filter had not been replaced. These are basic reconditioning steps that should be standard for any dealership selling a used vehicle. Would I return? No. Would I recommend A1 Toyota? No.

I had a problem getting a loaner car as my insurance ID in the car had expired. Service rep went to great lengths to get a copy so I could get a loaner. My car was really dirty inside after having driven from Tucson, AZ with a heavily shedding dog. They didn't make fun of me for having such a dirty car. Service estimates, texts were clear and easy to understand. Excellent service.

I have been buying new cars for over 40 years and this dealership has been the best to date. From my initial contact with James Hollar as the internet sales advisor, then Ugur Akdeniz as the sales consultant and then to Rachel Soto the delivery coordinator, they provided outstanding services and communication throughout the entire experience. The dealership upfront pricing is matched by no other dealership within my 500 mile radius. This family owned dealership is a gem in Connecticut. I think our new car looks great in our garage. Update: A fine example of the professional staff. We ran into a problem getting the permanent tags within the 30 day window due to snow/ice storm which no one can predict. Working with the General Manager Dan Wheeler and the DMV specialist Victoria Felder, they were able to overnight my tags to me in time. They will work with you on all phases of the sale. Cannot say enough good things about this dealership. We really enjoy the car and the sales experience has made it that much better.

If you want no pressure, no haggling and no last minutes add-ins A-1 is the dealership.

They do great work here but the appointment length and appointment times is insane. I work overnight, when I have an appt at 8:30 am for an oil change I expect to be out in an hour to 1.5 hrs. Instead I’m still waiting and it’s been 2 hours already. Maybe I’ll be out of here within 3 hours at the rate things are moving.

I called Wednesday morning and they made me feel confident, but later Abdul called me back and spoke my language perfectly. Pissed off as I bought 4 new tires and only recieved 2 stem caps..missing 2 on the passenger side, couldn't figure out why those tires were slightly lower than the drivers side. So sick of being taken advantage of! Other than that, they do remarkable work..just sickening that I have to replace items that I originally showed up with !!

I have been coming here for the last 7 years and overall very happy with my vehicle and the service provided. I do wish that scheduling appointments would be an easier experience, however. Scheduling online is convenient but it does not allow you to pick appointment times on Saturdays when the location is open. And when I try to schedule an appointment through the phone, I keep connecting with a fake person named "Brooke" that doesn't understand what my requests are, and when asking to speak to a real person, it just keeps connecting me back with the fake computer. Saturday is the best day I can come in for an appointment due to my busy work schedule during the week, but it's impossible to schedule on that day now due to the obstacles mentioned above. I would like to keep coming here because I have always had a great experience but I do wish things were easier to navigate.

A1 is always phenomenal they have great communication, Amanda as a service advisor especially and I never feel scammed, they are fair and transparent about pricing and things that could be done vs things that need to be done for safety

New car buying process was quick and easy (it only took like 15 min to buy the car). No high pressure sales tactics, etc. I went to a few area Toyota dealers to compare, This was the only dealer not marking up over MSRP because of shortages. Recommend.

This was the best customer service experience I’ve received at any dealership. Our sales man Yaya took his time to show us the vehicle and answer all our questions. Then we met with Joshua in finance and he gave us so many credit gems and was able to lock in the lowest interest rate he could find. Both of these men made this entire car shopping experience easy and pain free. No pushy con man sales tactics, it was genuine care a customer appreciation. This is coming from someone that drove from NJ to buy this car. I absolutely hates car shopping but I would do this all over again.

I recently purchased my 2nd lease from A1 Toyota after having a wonderful shopping experience three years ago. In 2022, there was a chip shortage and limited inventory, but the people we worked with made our experience smooth and stress free. We put a deposit down for a 2022 rav4 and it was available sooner than expected. While the salesman and finance manager that helped my husband and I back then are no longer there, we had such a wonderful experience that we wanted to come back to upgrade my vehicle to a new lease instead of buying out the current lease I had. We had the pleasure of working with Matt and Sunny from sales and Eddie from finance. Our experience was just as great, if not better, with these fantastic folks. Matt especially was very personable and knowledgeable of the rav4 models. He understood our family needs as we were also expecting our 2nd child shortly after picking out the new vehicle and was very reasonable with our budget. We also want to thank everyone we worked with for being so understanding after I ended up going into labor the day we were supposed to pick up the car. We appreciated Eddie’s flexibility with meeting with us to finalize our purchase after we got home and settled. I highly recommend this dealership! Be sure to do your research, browse the website, and know your needs as this will help make your experience as smooth as possible.

Got a highlander hybrid back in Nov of 2024. Review is a bit delayed - they were generally helpful (I mean, it was about as straightforward as it gets). However, they messed up the registration and did not include my wife on the title despite us asking multiple times to make sure it was done properly. We ended up having to pay extra fees to get this done and taking time out to register the car at the DMV up in Wethersfield, CT which was a real pain.

Great experience! This was my first time at the dealership, I bought my car from Colonial Toyota in Milford. I used to wait 3.5 hrs at the dealership for every oil change! My oil change was only 45 mins at A1. The staff was very friendly, the waiting area was very nice, and I was really happy with cost of the oil change. Definitely recommend!

Had great experience was brought home until job was done, then picked up to learn Toyota fixed my bumper for free!

A-1 Toyota feels more like dealing with family or a mom and pop shop then a dealership with pushy sales and service people. They have a nice modern showroom and customer lounge. I would and have recommend it to my family and friends.
