Update - Thanks for taking the time to talk Gary and addressing my concerns. I am updating the review. My mother recently purchased a car from this dealership. The salesperson, Yaya, was excellent — friendly, helpful, patient, and genuinely pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, the entire experience completely fell apart once we were handed over to the finance manager, Josh. The moment we walked into his office, Josh acted irritated and inconvenienced, as if we were wasting his time. Looking back, it became obvious why his attitude changed so quickly: he realized my older mother was not alone and that someone was actually reviewing the paperwork carefully instead of blindly signing whatever was put in front of her. When I politely asked him to explain approximately $1,500 in fees and a separate $500 “accessories” charge, he immediately became defensive and aggressive. He raised his voice, repeatedly insisted this was a “no negotiation dealership,” and acted personally offended that anyone would dare question the charges. I calmly explained that I was simply asking what the fees were for. I also pointed out the large state-mandated sign hanging directly next to him him stating that dealer fees are NEGOTIABLE. At that point, Josh literally sat there glaring at me in silence for what felt like an entire minute, creating an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere for both my mother and me. Interestingly, despite claiming nothing could be changed, he removed the completely unnecessary $500 accessories fee almost immediately. That alone tells you everything you need to know. The rest of the interaction was just as disrespectful. Josh barely acknowledged us, ignored basic questions, and even spent nearly 10 minutes on the phone with a bank representative casually discussing Mother’s Day plans while we sat there waiting in silence. It genuinely felt like we were invisible. Josh is the exact reason people hate dealing with car dealerships. He perfectly embodies the dishonest, arrogant, high-pressure finance manager stereotype that gives the entire industry a bad reputation. I left feeling like I needed a shower after the interaction. It’s unfortunate because the sales experience itself was positive, but Josh singlehandedly ruined the entire purchase process. If dealership management actually cares about customer experience and repeat business, they should seriously reconsider having someone like this representing their company.
I have been to many Toyota services in New England region and this was unfortunately the worst service experience, and was very expensive for the work that needed. They didn't provide transport, communication to pick up my car was really problematic. The experience itself, I would go lower, but gave 3 stars because they accomodated me that day despite I had no appointment.

I arrived unexpectedly after accidentally hitting the side of my garage door and knocking the mirror off my brand-new 2026 Toyota Camry XSE. I was admittedly a bit panicked when I walked in, but Mark immediately stepped in to help... as he always does. Despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon with no appointment, Mark took the time to assist me without hesitation. He promptly located a mechanic (Anthony Montefusco), and together they graciously reattached the mirror for me. Their willingness to help so quickly turned a very stressful moment into a manageable one. Mark or Anthony did not have to stop what he was doing to assist me, yet he did so with professionalism and kindness. I have been a Toyota owner since 2019 and have exclusively serviced my vehicles at A-1 Toyota since then. The consistently high level of customer care I receive is exactly why I remain a loyal customer. Please extend my sincere thanks to Mark and the technician who helped me. I'm way overdue for this, but A1 Toyota was great. The whole experience, from my first steps through the door to the signatures was positive. My sales consultant, Ugur, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. Their whole team fosters a no-pressure environment. I am very happy with my purchase and their best price no-haggle policy easily beat other Toyota dealerships in the area. They're a fantastic team.

I recently purchased a Toyota RAV4 from A1 Toyota. The dealership promotes a bottom line, no negotiation pricing model. The vehicle price itself was reasonable, and it’s clear the dealership still earned a profit. However, several aspects of the experience were disappointing and raise concerns about transparency and professionalism. 1. Excessive Conveyance Fee A1 Toyota charges a $999 “conveyance fee.” This fee is discretionary, can be set at any amount the dealership chooses, and is often used to recoup internal costs such as registration processing, fuel, and vehicle preparation. The average fee in Connecticut is approximately $500. I acknowledge that I should have reviewed this more carefully before signing, but I was troubled when the Finance Manager dismissed my concern and told me to “let it go.” That response was unprofessional and dismissive. 2. Unprofessional and Gender Biased Behavior Throughout the process, I made it clear that I was the primary buyer, decision maker, and payer. My husband was present solely to be listed as a co owner for estate planning purposes. Despite this, the staff consistently directed their attention and communication toward him. This behavior came across as sexist and outdated, and it detracted significantly from the overall experience. 3. Vehicle Condition Concerns Upon taking delivery, I discovered that the vehicle had a strong smoke odor. It was also evident that the cabin air filter had not been replaced. These are basic reconditioning steps that should be standard for any dealership selling a used vehicle. Would I return? No. Would I recommend A1 Toyota? No.

I had a problem getting a loaner car as my insurance ID in the car had expired. Service rep went to great lengths to get a copy so I could get a loaner. My car was really dirty inside after having driven from Tucson, AZ with a heavily shedding dog. They didn't make fun of me for having such a dirty car. Service estimates, texts were clear and easy to understand. Excellent service.
